Several years ago, Paul Chatlin had a bright idea—and unlike most ideas that pop into our heads while brushing our teeth or standing in line at the DMV, he actually acted on it. He realized there needed to be a real community space for folks who were curious about or already committed to a plant-based lifestyle. And voilà, PBNSG (Plant-Based Nutrition Support Group) was born.

Fast-forward to today, and PBNSG isn’t just a support group—it’s a full-on movement. Members now enjoy multiple weekly support group meetings, virtual cooking demos (because tofu doesn’t season itself), and presentations from top experts who actually like talking about fiber. Become a member for $10 / month.

Even better? Every second Thursday of the month, PBNSG hosts a FREE Community Support Group meeting that you can join from the comfort of your kale-scented kitchen. (Just head over to pbnsg.org and click on Support Groups to register.)

Here’s my exciting news: I’ve recently joined the PBNSG family as one of the support group hosts! My group is called the Allergy, Asthma, and Immunity Support Group—a cozy corner of the internet where we’ll talk about how your plate can help (or hurt) your lungs and immune system.

Our next session is Wednesday, May 21st at 4 PM ET, and the topic is:
“Asthma and Feeding the Lungs.”
We’ll dig into the role food plays in asthma—both the superheroes and the villains—and how a plant-based diet can help you breathe a little easier. It’s a one-hour interactive session where I’ll rotate between a few slides and live Q&A (yes, real-time—you ask, I answer… or at least try to).

Future meetings will explore other hot topics like:

  • Can your fork fight a rash? (a.k.a. dermatitis and food triggers)
  • Why am I swelling like a balloon? (Hello, chronic hives!)
  • Going plant-based when allergic to everything except air (we got you).

Come learn, share, laugh, and leave with a better understanding of how to nourish your belly and bronchi. I hope to see you there!
